  Howto: get access to scientific papers

  since most people are not aware on how to get (free*) access to scientific papers and journals, so here's a short list of resources.. search http://scholar.google.com for the paper.

  maybe you'll get lucky and find it somewhere for free.. if you can only find a paid for version of the paper, get the title, doi (sort of like an isbn number) and link to the download page of the paper on the paysite.. if you don't know the doi, find it by searching your paper's title on http://crossref.org.

  go to the libgen site (links here: https://sites.google.com/site/themetalibrary/library-genesis ) and search for the paper.

  Since most people are not aware on how to get (free*) access to scientific papers and journals, so here's a short list of resources.

  1. Search http://scholar.google.com for the paper. Maybe you'll get lucky and find it somewhere for free.
  2. If you can only find a paid for version of the paper, get the title, DOI (sort of like an ISBN number) and link to the download page of the paper on the paysite.
  3. If you don't know the DOI, find it by searching your paper's title on http://crossref.org
  4. Go to the LibGen site (links here: https://sites.google.com/site/themetalibrary/library-genesis ) and search for the paper. Try searching on title, DOI and download link address
  5. If out of luck, try http://Sci-Hub.cc and again search on title, DOI and link address.
  6. If still out of luck, go to http://reddit.com/r/scholar and make a request for the paper there. Read the 'sidebar' (right side of the screen) before posting! To make the request, use the [make request] button in the top part of the sidebar. In your request, make sure to include the title, DOI and link to the paid article. Also mention what you already did to find the paper yourself.

  Steps 4-6 may be legally grey or black methods depending on your jurisdiction. Use at your own discretion to research evolutionary biology, bloodless medicine and wild Watchtower quotes ;-)

  Any suggestions for other sources are very welcome!

  New Dutch Assembly Hall Swifterbant - 17 September 2016

  a new 2,500 seater assembly hall in the netherlands - which expands to 3,500 seats for the annual conventions - is being dedicated on saturday 17 september 2016.. the existing hall on the site is converted into a venue for the wt schools - lecture room with ancillary accomodation - bedrooms, kitchen, canteen, study areas etc etc.

  Yeah the building was paid for by selling the other ah in the Netherlands + pledged donations.

  But this thing looks like a barn. Nothing I had imagined...good thing I won't have to be there either :-)

  What is interesting is this quote from Watchtower though:

  And to claim that the congregation was required to "monitor" interactions in private homes between individuals who are not engaged in any religious activity "is beyond the legal or feasible scope of any possible undertaking.   If only elders gave this response whenever someone came to them complaining he saw some brother engaged in sin.

  ÏI just did a quick look.

  1. I only found 4 grants to WTBS of Pennsylvania, not 6. Your link is not working for me.
  2. Some of these grants are received from organizations that manage grants. I.e. I send my money to that organisation, tell them to manage it, and send some money to Watchtower every now and then. The same organisation will of course also manage grants for other people, who might have specified other charities as beneficiaries. There is no link between Watchtower and other charities receiving money through (not from) the grant-managing organisation.

  Edit: there's 6 indeed for Watch Tower of Pennsylvania ....and 4 more for Watchtower of New York. Mind the gap ;-)

  Which Scripture "don't judge others customs"?

  i am starting to get to the boiling point, to make a long story short, i am getting hounded from alot of family and elder visits.

  i sorta put a halt on the elder visits, but the family is starting in on me now.

  anyway to get back to topic, what scripture is it that says something to the affect of that do not judge how some celebrate there customs or beliefs or something like that?.
